Generic Propecia is a medication used totreat male pattern baldness, a common hair loss condition that affects men over the age of 50. It belongs to a class of drugs called 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. These medications work by reducing the amount of testosterone in the body.
Generic Propecia contains the active ingredient finasteride, which belongs to a class of drugs called 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. These medications treat male pattern baldness by reducing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone linked to hair loss. By inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, finasteride helps in reducing the amount of DHT.
Generic Propecia is usually taken once a day, with or without food. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the severity of your condition and the individual's response to the medication. It is important to complete the full course of treatment even if you begin to notice results. If you experience any unusual symptoms, contact your healthcare professional right away.
Note:
Generic Propecia is not intended for use by women or children. It may pose risks to the developing baby or the unborn baby. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new medication.
Contains:
Active Ingredient: Finasteride 1mg
Available Strengths: 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg
How It Works
Generic Propecia works by blocking the action of an enzyme called type II 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone into DHT. By reducing the amount of DHT, Generic Propecia helps prevent the conversion of testosterone into DHT. By reducing DHT, Generic Propecia helps prevent hair loss and promotes new hair growth in men over the age of 50.
Uses:
Treat Male Pattern Baldness (androgenetic alopecia)
Important Precautions:
Male pattern baldness is a common hair loss condition that affects men over the age of 50. It commonly affects men over the age of 30 and is strongly suspected to be due to underlying medical conditions, such as prostate cancer or high blood pressure.

This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of a topical formulation of Propecia® (finasteride), as a possible treatment for male pattern baldness, in a large population-based population-based study of male patients with androgenetic alopecia. A total of 481 men with male pattern baldness were randomly selected and randomly assigned into two groups (n = 481) for efficacy analysis. A questionnaire was administered to determine the efficacy and safety of the treatment (finasteride treatment) (Propecia® + Finasteride®) formulation. Results showed that Propecia® (finasteride) was significantly more effective than Finasteride® (Propecia®) in treating male pattern baldness in both the short-term (1 year) and long-term (2 years) groups. Moreover, the incidence of the side effects was comparable between the two formulations. The efficacy and safety of the two formulations were assessed by assessing the frequency of side effects, which were defined as the frequency of discontinuation of hair loss after 1 year of treatment. Compared with the Finasteride® formulation, the Propecia® + Finasteride® formulation was more efficacious than the Propecia® formulation in treating male pattern baldness in both the short-term (2 years) and long-term (1 year) groups. Furthermore, the overall incidence of side effects was significantly higher in the Propecia® + Finasteride® group compared with the Propecia® group. The overall incidence of adverse events was comparable between the two formulations. The incidence of side effects was not significantly different between the two formulations, indicating that the efficacy of the Propecia® formulation was not affected by the dosage and frequency of administration. These results suggest that the Propecia® formulation is effective in treating male pattern baldness, while Finasteride® is not. The safety profile of the Finasteride® formulation in patients with male pattern baldness was assessed by assessing the frequency of side effects, which were defined as the frequency of discontinuation of hair loss after 1 year of treatment. The overall incidence of side effects was not significantly different between the two formulations, indicating that the efficacy of the Finasteride® formulation was not affected by the dosage and frequency of administration. These results indicate that the Propecia® formulation is a safe and effective treatment option for male pattern baldness.

Male pattern baldness is one of the most common forms of hair loss in men and is usually caused by a genetic predisposition and/or hormonal imbalances (, ). The incidence of male pattern baldness is higher than the incidence of other forms of hair loss. Male pattern baldness is usually associated with a hereditary tendency of alopecia (, ). Approximately 50% of male patients with male pattern baldness develop male pattern hair loss on the vertex and anterior mid-scalp area (; ; ; ), and approximately 35% of the male patients with male pattern baldness develop male pattern hair loss on the anterior mid-scalp area. Propecia® (finasteride) is a widely used oral medication, and the topical formulation of this medication has been used for years as a potential treatment for male pattern baldness (; ).
Finasteride, also known as Propecia, is a medication that is used to treat male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate).
Finasteride is a type of drug called a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It works by blocking the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is responsible for causing hair loss. It has also been approved for use in treating androgenetic alopecia.
You can buy Finasteride from your pharmacy or through a licensed online pharmacy in the US. The FDA approved prescription medication for this purpose is Propecia, which is available in the US and the EU.
Generic Finasteride comes in different strengths, and it is available in different forms. This article will discuss the uses, potential side effects, and recommended dosages of Generic Finasteride.
Finasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that converts testosterone into DHT, which is responsible for hair loss in men.
Finasteride is a prescription medication, and it should be taken by the patient as directed by their doctor. Finasteride works by blocking the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone into DHT, which helps in the conversion of testosterone into DHT. This helps to shrink the prostate gland and increase blood flow to the scalp.
Finasteride is available in the US in tablets of around 1mg. You should take this medication on an empty stomach for optimal results and should avoid taking food and alcohol with it. It should be taken with meals and should be taken every 12 hours or every 24 hours.
Generic Finasteride is a type of drug called a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, which is used to reduce the levels of DHT in the body. It is also used to treat enlarged prostate or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Finasteride is available in tablets of 1mg and 5mg.
Finasteride works by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which converts testosterone into DHT. This helps to shrink the prostate gland and increase the levels of DHT in the body. Finasteride can also be used to treat male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) by preventing the conversion of testosterone to DHT in the body.
Finasteride can be taken orally as a pill. You should take Finasteride as prescribed by your doctor.
Generic Finasteride is not a cure for male pattern baldness or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), but it can help in stopping the growth of hair loss and promote hair regrowth. Some people may experience side effects, such as increased sensitivity to sunlight and vaginal dryness. It is also possible to experience hair loss while taking this medication, and it is important to note that it is not recommended to take it for more than a few months to ensure the full benefit.
It is recommended to stop Finasteride before starting treatment with this medication and to discuss any potential side effects you may experience with your doctor. In some cases, it may be necessary to stop Finasteride and consult with your doctor.
To get the best results while taking Generic Finasteride, you need to follow the instructions carefully and take it at the same time each day. It is important to complete the full course of treatment even if you start to feel better before the medication is finished.
